So it is true, that Haggis is not only a fat sausage shaped meat pudding, it really is a funny looking hairy rodent like animal that skips around the grassy hillsides, and lochs of Scotland. that is the very rare wild haggis, distinctive of its barrel shape body covered with course long hair and not such a pretty looking face, The haggis that goes into the butchers recipe are farmed for the high demand needed to make these puddings. the native species of Haggis is the Hebridean Haggis with the Lewis Haggis thought to be different from the mainland Haggis, as the mainland has differing left and right sized legs to the Lewis Haggis with its legs all the same size. wikipedia
